【Statement】
One night at 9:30 p.m., I filmed Collapse Trance Saturn 200 near Shinjuku Station’s south exit, where the city is saturated with artificial light. I noticed the colors on the Saturn shifting unpredictably—caused by the digital billboards above, whose human-made images became random light once released into public space.
Collapse Trance Saturn is covered with repeated “ツ” and “シ,” making them indistinguishable over time. As the gaze moves—from the surface to the inner block, its underside, and the lower hemisphere—the mirrored reflections multiply, creating a sense of expanding, infinite space.

ある日の21時半、舘は新宿駅南口を訪れた。都会の代表格である新宿駅周辺は、ギラギラとした人工的な光に覆われている。ネオンの中に崩壊トランス サタン200を置き撮影していたとき、サタンを照らす光の色が不規則に変化していたことに気がついた。そのランダムな照明の正体は、頭上の電光掲示板であった。掲示板には広告が次から次へと流れていた。人為的に制作された映像が大画面に映し出され街に流れることで、予測のつかない光となり景色に溶け込んでいく。
崩壊トランス サタンとは、ツ・シが繰り返し書かれた土星型の作品である。見ていると、次第にどれが「ツ」でどれが「シ」なのかわからなくなるだろう。しばらく眺めていると、中に入っているブロックを発見する。土星の表面、ブロックの上面、下面、土星の底面…と視点が交錯しツ・シの像が底面のミラーともに増幅され、無限の空間が出来上がる。
